World Press Photo has announced the 167 young photographers, who have been nominated for this year’s prestigious Joop Swart Master Class .
Ten of the nominees are former DMJX-students:

Lærke Posselt, Denmark
Matthew Abbott, Australia
Rebecka Uhlin, Sweden
Roger Anis, Egypt
Stefano Carini, Italy
Virginie Nguyen Hoang, Belgium
Prasiit Sthapit, Nepal has also been nominated. Prasiit has been a part of a DMJX master class run by Mads Nissen and Søren Pagter.
The nomination committee consists of 171 professional photojournalists and documentary photographers from all over the world and they have chosen 56 women and 111 men, of 59 nationalities—to be considered for the master class. Søren Pagter is a part of the Joop Swart Master class committee.
In the next stage, an independent committee will choose the final 12 to be invited to Amsterdam for the master class later this year. The selected participants will be announced during the annual Awards Ceremony, on Saturday, 23 April.
