11 students nominated for the Danish Picture of the Year 2024

The nominees for the Danish Picture of the Year 2024 have been announced. Among the total of 35 nominees are 11 DMJX students.

Almost one third of the nominees at this year’s Danish Picture of the Year are DMJX students. The 11 DMJX nominees are:

Cecilie Enghardt Rolvung, currently interning at Politiken
Frederik Kongsgaard, 4th term this spring 2025
Kasper Krupsdahl, 4th term this spring 2025
Liv Latricia Habel, graduating this January 2025
Maria Høy Hansen, graduating this January 2025
Martin Thomas Ford, graduating this spring 2025
Miles Lilley, currently interning at Jyllands-Posten
Rebecca Krogh, 4th term this spring 2025
Signe Bech Søholt, 4th term this spring 2025
Signe Lægsgaard, currently interning at Politiken
Nichlas Pollier, graduating this spring 2025

2723 images and 54 videos by 151 different photographers were submitted for the competition.

The Danish Picture of the Year is organized by Pressefotografforbundet (The Danish Press Photographers’ Association) and this year’s winners will be announced at the award ceremony on March 7 at The Royal Library in Copenhagen.

Last year, seven DMJX students won prizes at the Danish POY 2023 and Christian Falck Wolff won the Danish Picture of the Year.
