The project Chitra documents the impact of deer poaching in the Sundarbans mangrove forest, linking biodiversity loss to climate vulnerability. By focusing on forest-edge communities, the project reveals how ecological imbalance threatens both wildlife and human survival in coastal Bangladesh.

Abul Hayat Rahadh was an ECCA scholarship student at DMJX in 2025 where he made the story during a magazine workshop. The full story can be read in the magazine made by nine international Photo 1 students in the spring 2025.
