The prestigious competition Coillege Photographer of the Year 2011 (CPOY) bagan their judging yesterday in Columbia, Missouri and four students from our school were among the winners on the first day:
Sports Action. Gold and Award of excellence to Michael Hansen for two different boxing images. Michael Hansen has just started his study this summer and is at his first semester this autumn.
Portrait. Gold to Lærke Posselt for a portrait of a Danish/Iranian actress. Award of excellence to Nikolai Linares for a portrait of a Danish female soldier. Both Lærke and Nikolai are at their final year.
Spot News. Bronze to Ahmed Hayman for a picture from the demonstrations at Tahrir Sq. in Cairo. Ahmed from Egypt is one of our many international students – he has studied in Denmark for almost one year and is right now working on his diploma project.
There were also a lot of students from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in the final rounds before the jury selected the winners. You can follow the judging online in the following days.
