Lasse Mejlvang’s story Varanasi’s Backyard is published in Politiken’s Magazine. The story tells about the muslim minority in the Indian town Varanasi.
The river Ganges has no religious meaning to the muslims. Nevertheless, they enjoy swimming in it. The hindus accept their use of the holy river.
Lasse did the story during his 7th semester in the spring 2013. This January, the pictures are also exhibited at Månefiskeren in Christiania, Copenhagen.
Lasse Mejlvang will attend his final exam next week.
