Marco Carmignan has received a grant from National Geographic Committee for research and Exploration.
Together with his two colleagues, Davor Marinkovic and Lorenzo Scalchi, Marco applied for a grant to work on a story about the Serbian refugees after the war in the former Yugoslavia. Around 200,000 Serbians were in 1993 forced to migrate from Croatia to Serbia, where some of them still live as refugees.
Marco Carmignan graduated Photo I in the autumn 2018 and is currently studying at our international Photo II programme. It is his plan to use this grant for his final Diploma project this spring.
The grant is almost $ 10,000 and will cover travel expenses, accommodation, food and some equipment.
