Tobias Kobborg shortlisted for Copenhagen Photo Festival

Copenhagen Photo Festival has shortlisted 13 photographers for this year’s festival. Among these are fourth term student Tobias Kobborg.

18-year-old Cornelius Kemboi attends Saints Patrick’s High School in Iten, Kenya, following in the footsteps of star runners like David Rudisha and Wilson Kipketer. His training takes place on local roads outside of town. He began running at the age of 10, when he rather than eating at the public school, would run two kilometers each way to eat his mother’s food at home. Photo: Tobias Kobborg.

Tobias Kobborg is shortlisted with his project “No One Copuld Catch Me” about the young Kenyan runner Cornelius Kemboi. Tobias made the project during his Photo Documentray workshop during third term in the fall 2018.

Copenhagen Photo Festival will select and exhibit 3 to 6 stories out of the 13 shortlisted projects. The festival received 217 applications from more than 40 different countries.

Copenhagen Photo Festival will run from the 6th till 16th of June 2019 in Copenhagen.
